First Skin on Wing

I got the first skin put on top of the right wing. Yeah! Looks a little like an airplane part. It looks small now because there's no leading edge or flaps or ailerons yet. See the wood brace under the middle of the wing? The middle of the wing has to be supported while you're attaching the wing skins otherwise it sags a little. I made adjustable poles when I was tiling the ceiling of the shower and I get to keep using them for different projects. It's a two piece pole with a tee nut and hole in one end and a hanger bolt in the other. The top is padded and to use it, you just turn one section to raise or lower it. Paula said I should patent them. I suspect they're a little too simple to patent but I appreciate the compliment!

Here's a picture of a P-51 Mustang wing being restored. I thought the similarity was interesting.
